About Me

Nicoline Lentze Hi, I'm Nicoline Lentze. Besides information about my background, you'll probably want to know what sets me aside from other copywriters. For one thing, I decided to put aside all the "shoulds."

Having studied with some of the copywriting gurus - and gone through the home-study materials and books of others, I discovered an interesting pattern. Each of them has their own set of rules governing what you "should" do in order to write successful sales material and the "proof" to show why their way works "best." Need I mention many of their methodologies contradict each other?

I concluded there's no one right or wrong way to sell a product or service. There's only the best means for each individual business. Which brings me to my next point. There are copywriters out there who, having done a different few projects, use those as templates to create everything else they write. Some copywriting teachers even advocate doing this.

I disagree: your business is unique, not a carbon copy. So why would I use something which has been created for someone else to sell your product? The only way I can do the job right is if I write sales-copy geared towards your needs. That's my philosophy and I'm sticking to it!

Okay, now for my background. I have a B.A. and an M.A. in English from Canadian Universities. I've also taken a certificate course in copy-editing and proof-reading. By the way, I've worked as a freelance editor as well as a copywriter.

My main copywriting training includes: the American Artists and Writer's Institute, Web Copywriting University, one-on-one coaching with Maria Veloso and also with Marcia Yudkin. I've done group coaching with Ryan Healy and John Angelache (I won a spot in their program, beating out 60+ other entries by copywriters), and I've taken John Carlton's Simple Writing System with Tina Lorenz acting as my mentor.

That excludes the books I've read, the teleseminars I've attended and the knowledge I've gleaned from copywriting forums.

I love to write, I love to word-smith and I find writing copy both easy and fun. I'd love the opportunity to discuss your product or service with you, so please feel free to contact me.

If you haven't already you can check out samples of my work here.
